Amparo Penny

MA, LPC, Master of Arts, Licensed Professional Counselor, joined Carolina Partners in 2010. Ms. Penny earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from N.C. State University and her Master's of Arts degree in Counseling from North Carolina Central University. She has previously worked as a counselor for Triumph, LLC, Wake County Human Services, Easter Seals UCP and Holly Hill Hospital. Ms. Penny provides family therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy, DBT (individual and group) using a variety of techniques including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Reality Therapy. She treats ages 12 through 65 in our Central Asheville, NC office,  where she specializes in DBT, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, LGBTQ issues, and anxiety disorders.
