Karen Morgan

MSW, LCSW, Master of Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been in practice for over a decade. She earned a BA from Duke University, a MA from the University of Virginia, and her MSW from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the past she has worked at the Durham VA Medical Center's Women's Clinic, Dorothea Dix Hospital, and at Elon University's Counseling Center. She has worked with clients from age 13 to age 85, and continues to enjoy practicing therapy with a wide variety of groups.

She specializes in working with interpersonal relationship concerns, trauma, and personality disorders, as well as depression/anxiety and grief/loss. She has a background in psychodynamic psychotherapy, but has also trained in DBT and CBT, and utilizes Gottman Method Couples Counseling. She treats adolescents, adults, older adults, and couples in the Carolina Partners Counseling Center in Durham, NC.
