Catherine Clemmer

MSW, LCSW, Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, joined Carolina Partners in early 2013. She earned both her BA in Psychology and her MSW, with a concentration on Adult Health and Mental Health, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Clemmer has previously worked as a clinical social worker for STEP Community Mental Health Clinic and Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina. She was part of a Wellness Management and Recovery team that was awarded the "2008 Provider of Excellence Award". Ms. Clemmer is also a member of the North Carolina Society for Clinical Social Work, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, the NAMI of Orange County, the NASW and the NASW NC Division. She is currently practicing in our Chapel Hill, NC office, where she specializes in severe mental illness, trauma, anxiety and depression, and personality disorders. She provides individual and group therapy using evidence based models including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
