Elizabeth Bruce, APRN-BC, Board Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, has been with Carolina Partners since 2001. She earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Akron and an MS in Nursing from Kent State University, where she was awarded membership to Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Elizabeth Bruce also currently works at Rex Hospital, and has previously worked for the Durham, NC V.A. Center and the Carolina Permanente Group. Ms. Bruce specializes in psychiatric mental health nursing for adults, and works in our Durham, NC office.
John Cassidy, PhD, PA-C, Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology and Board Certified Physician's Assistant, has been with Carolina Partners since 2005. He Cassidy earned a BA in Psychology from The Citadel, an MS and PhD in Psychology from the University of Georgia, and finally a BS in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Cassidy's employment history includes time as an officer in the U.S. NAVY, as well as work with the Mental Health Association of NC, Craven Regional Medical Center, and Piedmont Behavioral Health Care. Dr. Cassidy specializes in psychiatric assessment, the integration of psycho-therapeutic and psycho-pharmacological treatment, consultation-liaison psychiatry, behavioral medicines, and pain management in our Raleigh, NC office.
David Dominguez, MS, APRN-BC, Master of Science and Board Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, has been with Carolina Partners since 2002. He earned his BS and MS in Nursing from Arizona State University. Mr. Dominguez's work history includes time at ASU, Family Service Agency, and Superstition Mountain Mental Health Center, Inc. He is also a member of the American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society. Mr. Dominguez is a managing partner of Carolina Partners, with a private office in Pittsboro, NC, where he treats all age groups in general psychiatry.
Mary Hartsell, MSN, FNP, PMHNP-F, Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, has been with Carolina Partners since 2001. She earned her BS in Nursing from University of North Carolina at Greensboro School of Nursing, and her MS and Post-Masters degree of Family Nurse Practitioner from Duke University School of Nursing, and a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Post-Masters degree from Rush University in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, Ms. Hartsell is in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program at Duke University, with a focus in psychiatry and spirituality. Ms. Hartsell's previous work history includes time as an owner and nurse practitioner at Rockingham Family Health and Coordinated Care, Inc., and at Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Psychological and Counseling Center. Ms. Hartsell earned membership in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing, has had an article published in the journal 'Nursing Economics', and has presented at the APNA Annual Conference and the Annual Meeting of the Wellness Institute, as well as locally. Ms. Hartsell specializes in evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families in our Durham, NC office.
Paula Leif, MS, APRN-BC, Master of Science and Board Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, has been with Carolina Partners since 1997. She earned her BS and MS in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh. She was previously a clinical coordinator for Forbes Metropolitan Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, a manager of geriatric psychiatry at Forbes Metropolitan Hospital, and a manager of psychiatry at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Ms. Leif is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society for Nurses, and the American College of Nurse Practitioners. She practices in our Wake Forest, N.C. office, where she specializes in individual and group psychotherapy, and medication management.
Meredith Shrader, PA-C, Board Certified Physician's Assistant, joined Carolina Partners in 2008. She earned her BS in Biology and her MSPAS in Physician Assistant Studies from Eastern Carolina University. Her previous work history includes Pitt County Memorial Hospital and Family Practice Clinic in Greenville, N.C. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician's Assistants, the North Carolina Academy of Physician's Assistants, and the National Commision on Certification of Physician's Assistants. Ms. Shrader practices in our Raleigh, NC office, where she specializes in medication management, psychiatry, and family practice for adolescents and adults.
