Laura Morrison got her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and she completed a clinical social work fellowship at Emory University Counseling and Psychological Services. As a social worker, she worked with emerging adults and adults who were seeking support for concerns related to trauma, identity development, life transitions, relationship and/or family issues, depression, and anxiety. Her strengths-based, integrative therapeutic approach draws from a broad range of clinical theories and techniques, including attachment theory, interpersonal process theory, mindfulness approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy. Above all else, she champions social justice, service, and the dignity and worth of all individuals. Laura treats ages 18 and up at our Raleigh office, where she specializes in depression, grief/loss, trauma, and domestic violence/sexual assault.
