- Tawana Barrow
MD, Doctor of Medicine, joined Carolina
Partners in 2009. She earned her BA in Chemistry and Classical Civilization with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MD from Emory University. Dr. Barrow has previously been in private practice and worked as a senior psychiatrist at Santee-Wateree Community Mental Health Center in SC. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association and the American Medical Association Women Physicians Congress. Dr. Barrow's honors include receiving the prestigious Morehead Scholarship to UNC Chapel Hill, a seat on the UNC Women's Leadership Council, and recognition in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who of Emerging Leaders. Dr. Barrow treats all ages in our Wake Forest, NC office, where she specializes in mood disorders, anxiety disorders and medication management.
