  Sandeep Vaishnavi, MD, PhD
MD, PhD, Doctor of Medicine, Psychiatrist, Doctor of Cognitive Science, joined Carolina Partners in 2012 as Director of The Neuropsychiatric Clinic at Carolina Partners.  Dr. Vaishnavi earned his BS in Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology, his PhD in Cognitive Science from the University of Alabama, and his MD in Psychiatry from the University of Alabama.  He completed a residency in Psychiatry at Duke University, a residency in Clinical Psychopharmacology at Duke University and GlaxoSmithKline, and a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Dr. Vaishnavi is board-certified in Behavioral Neurology & Neuropsychiatry by the United Council  for Neurologic Subspecialties as well as board-certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has previously worked as the Director of the Neuropsychiatry Clinic and Neuropsychiatry Consult Service at Alexian Brothers Neurosciences Institute and Behavioral Health Hospital in Chicago, IL, and most recently as a Neuropsychiatry Physician at NC Neuropsychiatry Attention and Memory Center, Raleigh, NC.  Dr. Vaishnavi is widely published with over fifteen articles in medical journals, several chapters in textbooks, and countless conference proceedings and abstracts.  He is a member of the American Neuropsychiatric Association, ISTAART (Alzheimer's Association International Society to Advance Alzheimher's Disease Research and Treatment), and the American Academy of Neurology.  Dr. Vaishnavi recently completed a Visiting Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Duke University. He offers evaluation, testing, and treatment of mood, behavioral, and cognitive symptoms of neuropsychiatric illnesses like ADHD, traumatic brain injury, and dementia to adults at The Neuropsychiatric Clinic at Carolina Partners.
