Barb Gau
MSW, LCSW, Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, joined Carolina Partners in 2011. She earned her BS in Psychology, Cum Laude, from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, and her MSW from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. Ms. Gau has previously worked as a counselor at Elon University in Elon, NC, and taught marital/family therapy to psychiatry residents, post-doctoral graduate psychology students and MSW interns enrolled in Duke Family Therapy Program. She was also project manager for the Duke University Collaborative Twin Studies of Alzheimer’s Disease. She is currently a member of the NC Society of Clinical Social Work. Ms. Gau treats ages 16 and up in our Durham, NC office, where she specializes in adjustment disorder, eating disorder, grief and loss, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
