The term "GLBTQ" is commonly used as shorthand for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans*, and queer community. It is important to note that while these groups may share some similarities, they are by no means identical in terms of their mental health issues, concerns, or needs. It is important to find a provider that best suits your individual needs. The GLBTQ community faces unique risks to their mental health and well-being due to the long history of societal stigma, prejudice and discrimination. Below are our providers familiar with GLBTQ Affirmative Therapy. For information about specific services for the queer and trans* communties and a list of our trained GSDS providers, visit our GSDS Initiative homepage.
