Courvoisie
MD, Doctor of Medicine, joined Carolina
Partners in 2008. She earned her BS from the University of South
Carolina, her MD from the Medical University of South Carolina, and
received her post-graduate training at Duke University and UNC Chapel
Hill. Dr. Courvoisie's employment history includes time as an assistant
professor at Johns Hopkins Hospital, an assistant clinical professor at
UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, the Director of the Child Inpatient Unit at
UNC Chapel HIll Hospital, and in private practice. She is a member of
the American Psychiatric Association and the Academy of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Courvoisie is widely published in academic
journals including American Journal of Neuroradiology, Child
Adolescent Psychopharmacology, and has given over twenty academic
presentations in her specialized field of neuropsychiatry. Dr.
Courvoisie practices in our Chapel
Hill, NC office, where she treats ages two and up for most
psychiatric disorders including autism, developmental disabilities,
brain trauma and schizophrenia.
